Jan. 13—MANATEE — The Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce and the College of South Florida are partnering on an on the web seminar for small enterprise homeowners to master how to register as a seller to do business with USF.
Contributors can also consider section in a question-and-response session with Terrie Daniel, assistant vice president of the USF Place of work of Supplier Range.
“We know that entry to sources can imply the variance between good results and failure to a modest business enterprise,” said Tarnisha Cliatt, president/founder and CEO of the Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce.
In 2015, Cliatt established the Manatee Black Chamber of Commerce, which grew into the Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce when the organization expanded into Sarasota County. The business, which concluded its initial year with 60 associates, now has more than 200, Cliatt reported.
“I didn’t have the system to link with folks who glimpse like me. I desired to generate something to advance and expand my community,” Cliatt mentioned of the genesis of the Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce. She set out to advocate for Black-owned corporations, to offer resources, assistance erase disparities in chances, and ensure inclusiveness.
“If you know anything about me, you know that if you present me a window of chance, I am likely to seize it,” she explained.
Cliatt needs to open the window of prospect for her users to do business with USF.
And that is what the USF Office of Supplier Diversity is all about.
“We are listed here to connect small, minority, girls, and veteran-owned corporations to prospects inside USF and present instructional applications and resources to advertise the economic improvement and sustainability of assorted companies in the Tampa Bay Area,” Daniel said on the USF world-wide-web site.
“As an organization, we empower those who have buying authority on behalf of USF and encourage them to use diverse corporations when making purchases on behalf of the University of South Florida,” Daniel mentioned.
